So we are all suffering in the current recession (depression?) and I’ve been listening and reading many different sources about how all this came about.  Although it is clear that no single source is to blame, someone has put together a video that gives a nice overview of a big part of the problem.  I’m always fond of things like this that break it down in pretty easy to understand chunks.  I have a CD with a segment from NPR which gets into more of the gritty detail, but this is a good start.  Kudos to the guy (Jonathan Jarvis) who made this.

Brad Pitt is trying to bring back the mustache.  He must be stopped.  The stache is just wrong.  It is so 70’s.  Seventies porno guy. 

Brad in a porno?  Yes.

Brad in a stache?  No.

My worst fear is that he may influence other guys to grow one.  If you are thinking about it… stop!  Don’t do it.  Brad can barely pull it off.  You can’t.  Trust me.

In the last debate, Obama brought up the crazies that McCain/Pallin seem to attract.  McCain stressed how proud he is of his supporters.  I came across this video that shows off the type of supporter that Obama was talking about and seems to be brought out by the GOP. 

I’m not sure what more to say.  This is frightening because these people reflect a lot of what I think most Americans in the midwest are like.  I hope I’m wrong and this is only the extreme fringe.  If these people feel this strongly about a guy that isn’t white, I can only guess how’d they feel about a gay atheist.
